blonde waves tossed across ocean waves
by the salted seaside breeze
unfurling and curling like curious claws
flying forever free with ease
wide eyes reflecting blue skies
and the gray of a stormy sea
gazing, blazing of secrets untold
the girl i will never again be
when bare feet and darkness meet
in the forest’s shrouded midst
rosy cheeks fade to pallid skin
as she fades into a wisp
a wisp of smoke, a final hope
is all that’s left of her
and in her place, forevermore
is me, her ashes, burned
you write beautifully

You, and the pictures you paint with your words, are so beautiful my dear.
